About the Event: Join us in the Andrew Heiskell Community Room for a talk by Ricky Riccardi, Director of Research Collections for the Louis Armstrong House Museum and author of “What a Wonderful World: The Magic of Louis Armstrong’s Later Years” and “Heart Full of Rhythm: The Big Band Years of Louis Armstrong.” Ricky will be providing a preview of his latest book, “Stomp Off, Let’s Go, The Early Years of Louis Armstrong” which is currently being recorded for the NLS.
As a world-renowned scholar with unique insight into the life of Louis Armstrong, Ricky tells enthralling stories of the birth of Jazz. His liner notes for Armstrong recordings have earned him two Grammy Awards. Come hear him live and in person for this special event.
