About the Event: This new play, written by Meg Rosensweet and directed by L.D. Kelley, features an all-trans cast and company. Missionary Woman uses camp, satire, and absurdity to deal with themes of systemic transphobia and conservative fascism. At a time of unprecedented visibility for transgendered people, Missionary Woman aims to help audiences realize what is at stake for one of society’s most vulnerable populations.
