About the Event: The New York Independent Theater Awards celebrate the impact of NYC’s diverse and groundbreaking indie theater artists. The NYIT Honorary Awards Ceremony serves as an annual Homecoming for Indie Theater Artists working across all five boroughs of New York City, providing an opportunity for cross-pollination, inspiration and community.
