Nothing Can Take You From the Hand of God – ASL Interpreted Performance
Produced By: Playwrights Horizons
Written by Jen Tullock and Frank Winters
Performed by Jen Tullock
Directed by Jared Mezzocchi
Date & Time: Tuesday October 21, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Location: The Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons, located at 416 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036
About the Event: When a best-selling writer releases a book about her upbringing as a gay kid in the Evangelical South, she is confronted by the woman she claims to have had an affair with — who insists the stories are false. Operating multiple cameras and live looping systems, Jen Tullock (Severance) expertly plays a full cast of characters in a tour-de-force performance that blurs the line between reality and the lies we tell ourselves in order to survive.
Accessibility: This performance will feature live American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation with designated seating to ensure the best view of the interpreters. ASL interpretation is intended to make the performance accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing audience members.
