About the Event: Congestion pricing has been in effect in New York City for over a month now, and the early results are eye-opening: much less traffic, shorter trips, and millions in new revenue raised. Still, many inside and outside the city aren’t sold on congestion pricing yet, and in recent days President Trump has intensified his threat to terminate the toll program—a move that could come at any minute.

On Tuesday, February 25, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM ET, join The Century Foundation and NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service for a frank conversation on the future of congestion pricing in New York City. A panel of leading thinkers will assess the risks posed by the Trump administration, discuss new opinion research on how residents and commuters alike view the plan, examine data into congestion pricing’s effectiveness, and look ahead at the potential for NYC’s model to be replicated in other major U.S. cities.
