About the Event: Parashat Chukat- Balak brings us face to face with a paradox. Chukat opens with a law that defies logic, the chok, a reminder that not everything meaningful can be understood or neatly explained. Loss, transition, and uncertainty move through the parasha, asking us to keep going even when clarity feels out of reach.
At 14Y Selah, Chukat- Balak reflects a core truth of recovery and spiritual life. We don?t need a full understanding to move forward. We can grieve, question, and feel disoriented, and still be held. We can’t always explain the journey, but we can choose to walk it together.
This Shabbat, we gather around the table to rest in community, to release the need for certainty, and to make space for blessing, spoken and unspoken. We welcome Shabbat as a pause, a breath, and a reminder that even when the path is unclear, we do not walk it alone.
