About the Event: The Byllye Avery Sexual and Reproductive Justice Professorship, the nation’s first endowed professorship in sexual and reproductive justice, will fortify CUNY SPH’s leadership in this area of public health. Named for the incomparable Byllye Avery, a trailblazer in women’s health, thought leader in reproductive justice, and founder of the Black Women’s Health Imperative, this professorship will be crucial in developing a sexual and reproductive justice curriculum at CUNY SPH, centering the very advocacy models Byllye Avery pioneered.
