At Inclusive Communication Services (ICS), our mission has always been rooted in one simple belief: everyone deserves access, respect, and the ability to fully participate in their community – no matter where they come from, what language they speak, or how they communicate.

Our inclusive mission exists because we believe equal access to language is a human right. As we see communities torn apart by unlawful detainments, targeted political persecution, and unconstitutional suppression of 2nd amendment rights, we want to be clear and transparent about where we stand:

We support and uphold the dignity of all human beings, regardless of their immigration status.

We support diverse and safe communities, free from prejudice and harassment.

We support everyone’s constitutional right to speak up when they see injustice.

As part of our commitment to these core beliefs, we adamantly condemn the unlawful, racist, and inhumane actions taken by ICE and CBP over the past 13-months., These systems have senselessly torn apart our local communities and their families by relying on fear, intimidation, and unaccountability.

Many of our community members are immigrants or come from immigrant families. They are educators, artists, parents, students, healthcare workers, interpreters, and community leaders. They make our communities stronger, more creative, and more complete.

We believe inclusion means protecting communities, not policing them. It means building bridges, not walls. And it means using our voice, our platform, and our company values to stand with those who are too often marginalized or harmed by unjust systems.

ICS will continue to show up for immigrants, advocate for human dignity and accessibility , and do the work of building more inclusive communities.

Because inclusion is not neutral. And neither are we.

Know Your Rights

YouTube video

If you encounter ICE, here are important things every New Yorker should know (information summarized from a public “Know Your Rights” video by Zohran Mamdani for NYC):

  • ICE cannot enter private spaces like your home, school, or the private areas of your workplace without a Judicial Warrant signed by a judge. If they do not have one, you have the right to say: “I do not consent to entry,” and to keep your door closed, whether in a car or building.
  • Sometimes ICE will show paperwork and claim they have the right to arrest you. Not all paperwork is a valid judicial warrant. They may misrepresent what they have.
  • ICE is legally allowed to lie to you, but you have the right to remain silent.
  • If you are being detained, you can ask: “Am I free to go?” You may ask this repeatedly until they answer.
  • You are legally allowed to film ICE as long as you do not interfere with an arrest or their actions.
  • It is important to remain calm during any interaction with ICE or law enforcement.
  • Do not impede ICE investigations, resist arrest, or run.

Access includes knowing your rights. We encourage our community to stay informed, stay safe, and stay vigilant.

Language Resources

Access also includes understanding your rights in your own language. Language should never be a barrier to your safety. Inclusive Communication Services proudly partners with organizations that provide community resources and support, ensuring you have the information you need in your native or preferred language.

Response Crisis Translation: RCT has been on the frontlines of political, environmental, and economic disasters across the world, providing language services to those displaced, navigating migration and resettlement processes, or otherwise impacted by catastrophe.
