About The Black Joy Project: What began for writer and creative Kleaver Cruz as a social media post to feel better on a difficult morning in 2015, The Black Joy Project has grown in the last 8 years into many manifestations and has also documented hundreds of responses to the question: what does Black joy mean to you? Now, The Black Joy Project is a book: a collection of essays and art from Kleaver and 50+ Black artists. Join us to celebrate this love letter to how Black people resist and thrive around the world with writer Magogodi Makhene! Come be in community and cultivate this powerful source of power together.
